The problem with sending customers a PDF
Almost every business has a PDF catalog, and almost everyone runs into the same problems: the file is too big for WhatsApp, the customer has to download it just to see it, on a phone it opens tiny and you have to zoom in on every page, and you have no way of knowing whether anyone even opened it. And when you change a price, the old file keeps circulating everywhere.
How does the conversion work?
- Upload the PDF: drag the file into the system. Every page becomes a catalog page, exactly as you designed it. The Hebrew, the fonts and the design are preserved one to one.
- Get a flipbook catalog: within seconds you have a live booklet with smooth page-flipping, optimized for mobile and desktop.
- Add a live layer (optional): on top of the existing pages you drag buttons, product links, video, galleries, forms and products to order via WhatsApp.
- Publish and share: the catalog goes live on your own branded address, with a link, a QR code and social sharing.
What is kept from the original design?
Everything. Your PDF is displayed exactly as it is: the same pages, the same colors, the same Hebrew fonts. We do not convert the design, we wrap it in a flipbook experience and an interaction layer. That is why even a catalog designed years ago by an outside designer moves to digital without losing anything.
And what if there is no PDF at all? You can build pages from scratch in the editor, or let the AI wizard build a full catalog from your materials: logo, text and images. More on this in the complete guide to digital catalogs.
What should you do after the conversion?
Converting the PDF is only the first step. To turn it into a sales tool, go through every page and ask what action the customer is meant to take there: call, open a product page, watch a video, send an order or move to another category. Over these actions you place a simple interactive layer, without changing the original design.
On product pages it is worth marking items to order, on opening pages it is worth adding a contact button, and on long pages it is worth adding internal navigation. That way the same PDF you knew becomes a link that generates traffic, inquiries and orders.
How to keep PDF quality high before uploading?
- Export at high screen quality: do not over-compress product images, especially in catalogs with small text.
- Prefer pages with the same ratio: uniform page sizes give a steadier, more pleasant flip.
- Avoid tiny text: if the product matters, it needs to be readable on a phone too.
- Check the cover and closing pages: they set the first impression and the last action.

Frequently asked questions
Which PDF files can I upload?
Any valid PDF file. We recommend up to 50MB for fast loading, and portrait A4 pages look great in two-page flip mode. A particularly heavy file can be compressed before upload while the on-screen quality is preserved.
Are the Hebrew and the fonts preserved?
Yes, one to one. The pages are displayed exactly as designed, including Hebrew fonts, vowel marks and graphics. This is a point where many international tools fail, and for us it is the baseline.
Can I update a page without re-uploading the whole file?
Yes. You can replace a single page, add pages, delete and reorder, all from the management system. The link you already shared keeps working and shows the updated version.
What happens to the links that were already inside the PDF?
Instead of PDF links, which do not work well on mobile anyway, you place clickable areas in the editor: over any product, phone number or address you can stretch a clickable area that leads wherever you want. It is also more flexible, because you can change destinations without touching the file.
Is it better to convert an existing PDF or rebuild the catalog?
If the PDF is well designed and up to date, it is worth starting from it and enhancing it with interactions. If the design is old, cramped or not mobile-friendly, it is better to use it as raw material and build new pages in the editor or with AI.
Is a PDF with many pages suitable for a digital catalog?
Yes, but it is important to add a table of contents and internal links. A long catalog works well when the customer can quickly reach their category and does not have to flip page by page.
